How do you know how many bonds you need to ask for when you book your hair extensions appointment with Elite Hair Salon? It’s a fair question to ask! Many people assume that getting hair extensions means you need hundreds of pieces to create your dream look…
This can often make guests feel nervous because lots of pieces = lots of time, which can also = lots of $$?
BUT this isn’t always the case!? We often apply as little as 10-30 bonds in strategic locations in order to add volume and thickness to certain target areas on the head. A small amount can go a long way!
An application of 120 bonds obviously creates a very different outcome, but results will always be absolutely gorgeous!?
Another reason why our consultations are such a critical step in your dream hair process.
As we’ve mentioned before in numerous posts, our complimentary consultations are a critical step towards your dream hair.
Being a bespoke service, our consultations are there so that we can determine the best options suited to your hair type and lifestyle. The natural quality, length, texture, and thickness of your hair must also be considered.
Very thin and extremely damaged hair may not actually suit very long and very thick extensions. So, we need to assess your natural hair before deciding on the number of bonds you’ll require.
Our extensionists are highly qualified and experienced to know the perfect number and length of extensions needed to create the hair of your dreams. During your consultation, we will lay all of this out for you so that we can make an informed decision together.
Yes, you can! Often when guests are a little apprehensive about getting hair extensions for the first time, we encourage them to go with the lesser option as a taster for hair extensions life!
Usually, because they love their new hair so much, they will request to have more added at their first maintenance appointment. This is easy to do!
If you are interested in having hair extensions applied to create more length, then you often won’t require as many bonds as a guest specifically seeking more volume and thickness. Especially if your hair is already reasonably long and healthy!
If you are looking to increase the thickness of your hair, going from fine to thick will often require more bonds to create that volume you desire.
But remember – no two heads are ever the same. Any advice or suggestions we give are purely for informative purposes only, which can never be substituted for a hair extensions consultation!
We love taking the time to get to know our guests and their hair, and the right decisions can only be made with the proper time and care.
If you’d like to know more about how many, how long, or which type of extensions would best suit you, book a consultation now!
We can’t wait to see you x
