We get asked this question allllll the time – “can I just get my hair extensions at the same time as my consultation?”
Booking in for extensions is such an exciting time, especially if you’ve never had them before. Often, the anticipation can be too much and people can become impatient if they don’t understand the process.
To help you better understand what to expect, read on for the 5-step process!
1. Book your complimentary hair extensions consultation.
You can book your consultation through the booking link in our insta bio. Alternatively, you can send us a DM or text us on 0427 424 736 with your preferred times.

- No 2 heads are the same
- Colout matching is a precise science
- Length and number of extensions must be decided
- Hair extensions need to be custom ordered just for you
Without your consultation, your hair extensions application can’t happen!?
2. Attend your extensions consultation.
These appointments last for approximately 15 minutes. You can expect to be asked for some photo examples of your dream hair, so that we know exactly the look you are after.
Your personalised hair extensions consultation is a chance for us to check the type, density, thickness, health, and fall rate of your natural hair (for explanations, check out this blog post). All of these factors will influence the hair extensions solution we recommend for you.
Your stylist will walk you through your different options and discuss all of the important hair extensions care requirements with you.
If you don’t live locally, we can do consultations via FaceTime upon request.
3. Schedule your extensions application appointment.
We are usually booked out 2-3 weeks in advance.? As well as all the other important reasons to book a consultation, this is another reason why we cannot apply on the same day.
By the end of your hair extensions consultation, you will know exactly how many and what length you will have and how much it will cost.
If you are still just as excited to go ahead as you were before your consultation (we guarantee you will be!), now it’s time to book them in! We promise it will be worth the wait.
4. Your custom hair extensions are ordered.
Ordering your hair extensions takes 24+ hours.
Because they do often arrive within a couple of days of ordering, if you’d like to have your application appointment sooner rather than later, we won’t mind if you ask us if any cancellations have popped up. We also recommend keeping an eye on our insta stories, as we often post available appointments each day.
5. Attend your extensions application appointment.
And leave feeling 11/10!
We do not ever apply your extensions at the time of your consultation. As extensions are such a bespoke service (especially at Elite!), it is just not possible. The colour match is key and we do not keep excess stock in salon – everything is custom ordered just for you!
We also take such pride in our work, and will never rush the magic. If it’s not 100% insta worthy, it’s not good enough!
